Apparatus Business Development Manager

Chip Johnson joined Interstate Rescue in September of 2021 as the Apparatus Business Development Manager. Chip entered the Fire Service in August of 1986 as a Volunteer in the Chappaqua Fire Department as a Junior Corp member and then became a member of Ladder 3 in 1988. Chip is a former Truck Company Captain in the Department. His Career followed with 22 years divided between EMS, Fire, and Law Enforcement. He is a former Federal Firefighter on Governors Island, NY and Police Officer/Lieutenant with the Hillsborough Police Department in North Carolina and US Department of Veterans Affairs Police in Coatesville, PA. He is currently a volunteer and member of the Board of Directors with the McDowell County Rescue Squad in North Carolina. With 12 years of sales experience in the use of force training/firearms simulation industry as well as his previous role as Regional Sales Manager at Hurst Jaws of Life, Chip thrives on working with organizations to build solutions to their needs that benefit their communities. Outside of work, Chip enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, raising chickens, and keeping bees.
