Product Specialist

Toby joined the Interstate Rescue team in 2020. He began his career in the fire service in 1999 with Roanoke County Fire and Rescue rising through the ranks beginning as a firefighter, paramedic, lieutenant, captain, and the “A” shift operations Battalion Chief since 2018. Although he officially began his career in the fire service in 1999, he grew up around the fire service with his father starting out in the Stewartsville Chamblissburg Fire Department, in Bedford County.

He holds an Associates Degree in Fire Science with numerous other certifications that range from basic firefighting, ALS, many technical rescue courses, fire instructor, and fire officer. He also serves as an instructor for the National Honor Guard Academy traveling the Nation teaching public safety honor guard skills and training needed to honor our fallen. He has had the honor of serving as the Commander for the Virginia Fallen Fire and EMS Memorial and as the Branch Director of the honor guard branch at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial, and he still serves as command staff for both of these services. In his spare time he enjoys spending time in the sun and at the beach. He has three wonderful grown children, some of them have even followed in his fire service footsteps.
